Alternatives strives to become the foremost international forum for teachers, researchers and policy makers to share their knowledge and experience in the disciplines of political science and international relations. The identity of the journal is multiple but mainly non-Western. Also Alternatives aims to incorporate colonial and third world approaches. Alternatives aims an encounter between the central (Western) and peripheral (marginal) modes of intellectual efforts. Alternatives is a scholarly journal, edited by a group of scholars and students from the Department of International Relations at Fatih University, Istanbul, Turkey. The journal is published at its own web site http://www.alternativesjournal.com Alternatives welcomes submissions of articles from related persons involved in the scope of the journal. These are; - The Theory of International Relations, - Social Theory, - Case Studies in order to elaborate theoretical contributions in political science and international relations.
Scholars are invited to submit their manuscripts to the
editors for publication in Alternatives. Research papers are peer reviewed.
Other forms of submission are also welcome, such as commentaries and book
